Full Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Rwanda.
Arrive at the airport, get picked up and transfer to a Hotel in Kigali. In case an early arrival, you may take an optional tour of Kigali, one of the fastest growing cities in Africa. Take your overnight and dinner at Hotel Des Mille Collines.
Day 2: Transfer to Bukavu in DR Congo.
You will be picked by the driver guide in the morning from your hotel and drive southwards to Cyangugu near the Rwanda boarder en route Bukavu in Congo. You will have a pause at Butare to visit the king’s palace in Nyanza, the national museum of Rwanda and some genocide memorial sites. After enjoying lunch, proceed with a scenic trip to Bukavu characterized by wonderful views of the hills through the humid jungle of Nyungwe National Park and a pure sight of Lake Kivu. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Coco Lodge (Luxury), Orchid Safari Lodge (Mid-Range) or Hotel Horizon (Budget).
Day 3: Lowland Gorilla trekking in Kahuzi Biega in Democratic Republic Congo
Early morning after breakfast, you will go for a remarkable undertaking of lowland gorilla tracking in Kahuzi Biega National Park. Tracking lowland Gorillas is very wonderful adventure. Lowland Gorillas are different from mountain gorillas. The lowland gorillas are larger in size and usually it takes between 1 to 4 hours pursuing the lowland Gorillas. Lowland Gorillas stay in bigger groups as equated to mountain gorillas. You will have no regret for the safari energy, the moment you meet the astounding Gorillas. Day 4: Drive back to Kigali
